I usually read 1, sometimes 2 books at a time, never more. Usually i read when i drive to work or university, i always read during my working time  and i sometimes read at home, if i'm not doing something else :p
Don't really know how much hours that would be, but i would guess...
Which wrestling catchphrase???
I currently read Der Prozess by Franz Kafka, i guess the translation of the title would be The Trial but i'm not 100% sure about that!!
Right now i'm somewhere between page 40 and 50 and love it ;)
Just finished....
Nature by Ralph Waldo Emerson.
A great book, not always easy to read, but if you concentrate you will understand everything, although i don't agree with everything he wrote. It's interesting to read his personal thoughts, but my thoughts about this stuff are (a little bit?)...
Well it's really huge
my pile of books of course ;)
I guess i still have little bit over 20 books that i want to read and already own!! But since i have to go to work everyday now, i have a lot of time to read :D so the pile gets smaller every week :p
I guess i won't buy any books...
The Light Phantastic
I just finished this book written by Terry Pratchett. It's part of his Discworld series. It's the second book i have read from this series and i like it more than the first one, i think it was The Colour of Magic.
I really liked The Light Phantastic, there were some...
Johnny Got His Gun
The first example that comes to my mind is Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo. He also directed the movie adaptation of his novel.
But i can't tell you about the quality, because i haven't seen the movie yet, well i also haven't read the novel too
Right...
Cute
I really love the third pic were he sits in front of his food, he looks so sweet :)
We have 3 cats, so it wouldn't be wise to have a hamster as well ;)
though we had a rabbit for a short while, but then another family member took him, because she had a little garden. In the summer...
I would suggest....
to buy him some short story collections!!!
I recently bought my father "On The Road" by Jack Kerouac (i'm totally aware of the fact that this isn't a short story :p ) and "**** Machine" by Charles Bukowski and he said he is going to start with Bukowski, because it is a...
No.
It's the second Pratchett book i'm reading, the first one was "The Colour of Magic". But it's been a while since i read that, which means i read several other books between these two Pratchett books ;)
I recently finished
Downsize This by Michael Moore:
There were some highly interesting facts in it and also some very funny and sarcastic passages, which i really liked.
Although i didn't know all facts before i read the book, i still knew some of them already.
Some chapters in the book...
Today i bought
The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey
I also looked for The Waste Land by T.S. Elliot, but i couldn't found it and i didn't had enough money with me anyway ;)
Well i agree with all those who said the Fight Club adaptation was better than the book. But i disagree with them in one point, i thought the book was weak! I even read it twice to find something good in it, but i came to the conclusion, that it just isn't a good book :( !
As someone already...
My favorite movie scenes.
I don't actually put them in any order!
WARNING SPOILERS
Blade Runner - actually the entire a movie is a highlight of great direction and cinematography, but i also absolutely love the end monologue of Roy Batty at the end, it always gives me shivers down my...
Do you mean best ever or just working today?
As for best actors ever i would definitely include the following:
Jack Lemmon - he was so versatile he could play anything!
James Stewart - same goes for him!
George C. Scott - a terrible overlooked and often forgotten actor, who always...
Finished two books lately
David Copperfield by Charles Dickens:
I really liked it. It was easy to read and always interesting and entertaining. Though it's not a book that "enlightens" you, it surely is a good and wonderful book. It sometimes becomes a little bit long and very detailed, a...
I absolutely love R.P.McMurphy out of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Also Hank or Henry Chinaski is a favorite of mine, which is of course actually Charles Bukowski himself ;)
I would say The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Series has the best "ensemble cast" i would say. It's filled with...
My favorites include the following books:
The Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac
Turtle Island by Gary Snyder
Ulysses by James Joyce
Der Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse
On The Road by Jack Kerouac
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (entire...
