I finally got a copy of Henry Bellamann's first novel Petenera's Daughter. It was written in 1926, and because he wasn't very well known until he wrote Kings Row 15 years later, it was hard to find a copy for under 100 bucks.

Usually as I'm clearing out my bookcase I'll take the books to Half Price Books and sell them. A lot of times I'll have some stuff that I know they won't buy, or things like advanced readers that I can't sell and I'llleave those in the lobby of the apartment complex and someone always snatches...
Wow, You guys get a little over zealous with the, "OMG we talked about this six months ago" stuff.
I like to listen to music when I read, and I can also read while the tv is on. The only time I have an issue is when people are talking loudly around me. I'm not sure why I can handle a TV but...
I'm a manager in a bookstore, and the first thing I usually have to do when I'm interviewing is point out that there's no time for reading while on the clock. Most people are shocked by this revelation.
I have at least an hour everyday on my lunch break, and I usually read for an hour before I go to bed. That's a minimum. Mostly for me it's just a matter of turning off the tv and curling up with a book.
I can mulit-task though. I can read if there's music or a tv on, and I know not a lot...
So far I think they're fantastic. My boyfriend wanted something new to read, and I'd heard some good things about them. We're reading the series together and we're both just loving Amelia.
I'll hav eto check out the Egyptian history book, and the gothic romances as well :)

Actually, if any of you have read tinstead of just criticizing the people who have, it's a decent read. I wouldn't give it five stars, but it's an interesting book.
