    The book didn't actually win. The award was presented to Garcia Marquez shortly after publication of Chronicles of a Death Foretold in the '80s, I think.

    Well, we were reading excerpts from Foucault's work Discipline and Punish, and I was certainly interested by the parts chosen in my books. That's a later work, and I'm afraid I'm not the best person to ask about the best Foucault starting point.

    Recommend a good Adventure Book filled with intricate plot that makes you think hard?

    Perhaps give Operation Shylock by Philip Roth a chance. Yeah, I'd consider that an adventure somewhat.
