You have nothing to apologize for. :) Everyone's entitled to an opinion. The same book can be a pile of crap to you and a masterpiece to me, such is their nature. ^^
And she was young when she wrote it.. but there is also a level of maturity in what she's saying, despite her being somewhat...
Lol. xD
Anne Frank's diary was not meant for the public, but the fact that she can write all of that at such a young age, and think that despite what she was going through-- this is what makes it so beautiful. Imagine what she could have done, written had she not been murdered in the...
 I thought this was beautiful... "I still believe, in spite of everything, that people really are good at heart?" The kid was being persecuted and tormented by Nazis, but still could say that?
I loved Anne Frank.

"A country road. A tree. Evening." - Waiting For Godot, Samuel Beckett
"Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lolita, the tip of the tounge taking a trip of three steps, to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Le. Ta. She was Lo, plain Lo, in the morning, standing 4...
Don't go far off, not even for a day, because --
because -- I don't know how to say it: a day is long
and I will be waiting for you, as in an empty station
when the trains are parked off somewhere else, asleep.
Don't leave me, even for an hour, because

That was an awesome movie. I had to watch it several times, and I still don't fully get it. xD I'll check this out. :D
To answer the thread question, I just finished reading Rand's The Fountainhead.. I loved it. A lot of her philosophy I didn't agree with, but I thought a lot of it...
I thought it was fantastic. :p This story is really pushed by its charachters. Jones is hysterical-- he's so angry at everything, and its funny! Miss Trixie also gave me a laugh, along with the Levi's bickering and Ignatius' own huge, proud self.
I don't know.. I just though it was funny. :D
I can only read two books at once if one requires no real thought, simply for my enjoyment. Like, I'll read a book, but to clear my head in between homework assignments, I'll open up to something lighter. :)
The Scarlet Ibis.. I read that 2 years ago, in english. I didn't think it was anything spectacular.
Oh, one more reccomendation: Nine Stories, by J.D. Salinger. :D
I'll second the Vonnegut and Clockwork Orange reccomendations. :p
I tried reading the 'Moviegoer' awhile back, and found it to be horribly boring, and put it down about halfway through. Is it worth a second try?
