The photo is from last year when it wasn't finished yet, but you get the idea:
This is getting more and more common. When driving through the villages and over the countryside you see a lot of solar panels. Especially in my region many farmers take up this opportunity.
The last...
I think it's active solar.
About the investment: that depends on many factors. How long does the sun shine where you live? How much money will you get (here the prices have reduced to about 55 cent here this year)? Are these prices guaranteed? And how much space do you have?
We have a fairly...
My family uses solar energy for water heating and producing electricity.
We had to invest a lot of money, but we sell the electricity for about 60cent per KW. The price is guaranteed for 20 years, so in the end we will be profiting from it - as soon as we repaid the credit, that is.
You're really eager to know that, aren't you?
692 posts in book discussions, 57 of them in the four-word story. So 47,33% if we count the four-word story, 43,43% if we don't.
@Scottishduffy: The advanced search feature does offer to search for individual posts, but you would have to split up...
The Da Vinci Code has its own entry, too. Does that make it a good book?
Half of it criticism, though. I'm sure Stewart would like that. ;) But we don't want to get started on that one again, huh?
Anyway, I'm actually interested in Neal Stephenson.
The problem with Cryptonomicon is that...
I finally got a copy of 'Dubliners' and read the first story, "The Sisters", which I would have expected to be more difficult. I'm not sure that I got all of it, but I found Faulkner a bit harder to read, mainly because of the dialect, which was very difficult to understand for me. But English...

I just finished "The Mathematics of Nina Gluckstein" by Esther Vilar. The formula how love works, seems easy enough: One can only bind a man by not showing him his love. But what does that mean for Nina Gluckstein? How will she pay for her love?
I liked it a lot, especially the style of the...
You're new to forums, WoundedThorns? You know, it's kinda hard to find out to which post you were referring to.
Why not try out the quote function?
Edit: Ah, some mod's been fixing the numerous posts! Thanks a lot, it was a bit distracting.
So, since April I finished the following:
19. Eddings, David - Pawn of Prophecy
20. Steinbeck, John – Grapes of wrath
21. Nedjma – The Almond
22. Bambaren, Sergio – Die Zeit der Sternschnuppen
23. Brecht, Bertolt – The good person of Szechwan
24. Christie, Agatha – Death on the nile
25...
Lolita comes to mind, although personally I didn't have a problem with the French.
Dialects are very difficult and annoying to me. "Der Hauptmann von Köpenick" by Carl Zuckmayer, or "Rose Bernd" by Gerhart Hauptmann really put me off because the characters always speak in dialects and...
I never ordered anything from China, but when it comes to DVDs you should check whether they are compatible to your DVD player. Most European DVDs wont play on an US DVD player, for instance. Have a look at this page.
