Yeah I think so. It's alright so far; I'm about 80 pages into 2010. Is it worth it to read 3001?
You're a Clarke fan I'm guessing. Read a lot of his other stuff?
Dick as in Philip K. Dick? I try not to race through his stuff...although I find myself not being able to put his books down.
But I'm pretty proud of myself because I started and finished 2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke all today. :D
This happened to me for the first time recently. I read Radio Free Albemuth by Philip K. Dick and just recently found out the movie is coming out on June 11th. What books have you read without any prior knowledge of a movie existing?
Encyclopedia Brown....that arouses some vague memories...I read some Sweet Valley High when I was younger too.
Anyone read The Last Of The Really Great Whangdoodles by Julie Andrews? I remember reading that in 5th grade and absolutely loving it.
I think it has to be something that isn't forced on you. Like, I can say that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life, and while He also is for my parents, I don't base my faith on my parent's expectations. They've given me the freedom to choose for myself.
The Decline And Fall Of The Roman Empire by Edward Gibbons. It's still a great book.
The Works Of Philo by Philo of Alexandria. Got about 30 pages in....yeah.
Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler. About 100 pages this time!
