My, my dad's, and my mom's, books can amount more than 20,000 books. We have an enormous library room with tall bookshelves containing many many books. It takes us a lot of time to collect them all. My father started collecting books in this library a long time before he married my mom! :)
I read it for English. It was ok. Many schools banned it for its "inappropriate" contents though. For example, the word "nigger" was used in the novel.
Almost always one at a time. I hardly get into any emergency cases when I have to read many books at once--although it happens sometimes when I have various reading assignments from several classes. :)
That's the BEST philosophy novel I've ever read so far! I'd strongly recommend it. I'm pretty sure that I will want to learn Norwegian in university in order to just be able to read the novel again (in its original language, of course!).
I'm almost done with my Chemistry textbook. I've read 700 pages out of 1000 so far. Since I'm busy reading, I haven't posted a lot recently. I don't think I will have time to post much again until I finish the whole textbook. It's really fascinating. Anyone who loves Chemistry should read it...
That is the most eccentric and stupid part of the series. I don't know the real cause of doing that--besides creating a mysterious facade. Also, his mentioning of Beatrice irritates me. There are chances that the author is mentally ill...But I'm not sure about that.
To learn and to become a bookworm.
I would say reading is learning. The more you read the more you acquire knowledge. This is my sole purpose of reading plenty of books.
