I really like this show. The kid who plays a young Chris Rock is hilarious. I like how the first episode didn't shy away from some harsh truths (like racism at his new school), but it didn't take itself too seriously and try to preach, either. I think this series has some definite good prospects.
It's funny you would say you like juggling books, because I just joined and that was one of the things I said, that I am happiest when I am juggling two or three books at once. I guess I've found my second home. Welcome, fellow newbie (and juggler).
Ah... that Lenny's a tricky one. I get what you're saying about Hurley, but what about Locke? I still think there's more to it, after all, he got there safely in the first place. Come to think of it, they both had to humiliate themselves to get on the plane, because didn't Hurley have to go...
Gaiman fan
I picked up American Gods on recommendation on another forum, and I really enjoyed it. I don't know how to do the spoiler thing where it blacks out, so I can't say what I really liked about the novel. I am on the waiting list for Neverwhere at the library, so I watched the BBC...

Wow, what a warm response. Thanks, everybody. I do have eclectic tastes, because I am a speed reader whether I want to be or not, and I am only happy when I am juggling two or three books. So I have to read a lot of different things to stay afloat! As far as cookbooks, lead on, McDuff (did I...
Episode two recap
Could someone please give me a recap of Episode Two? I saw the pilot, then something else had priority over the next episode on my DVR, so I missed it. I haven't watched the third episode yet, although I have it recorded. I have high hopes for this show. It seems more...
Wow, I can't believe how observant Lenny is. I didn't catch half the stuff he noticed. My main curiosity is what the numbers represent. I am afraid of a letdown in the storyline, though, once the meaning becomes more apparent. My favorite story in the group was Hurley's. I loved that scene...
Hello everyone. I am an avid reader and am glad to have found this website! I read both fiction and non-fiction. In non-fiction, I like cookbooks (I find them relaxing even if I'll never cook the stuff), memoirs (just finished Burrough's Running With Scissors--holy cow!), home...
