To me the mark of a true author is their ability to extract emotion from the reader. To get them into the story enough to cry at a tragic death, or feel outrage at some conjured up injustice. That takes the story to the next level. Its not just words on paper, your living it.
I just recently had to read that book for school. The writing style was certainly different. Very interesting, though admittedly not one of my favorite books.
well honestly, It's a comfort. I mean why not, sometimes its nice to believe in something beyond this world,(especially since this world is in such a sorry state). Igrorant prolly, wrong highly possible; but to me there really isn't enough overwhelming proof to REALLY pull me to either side of...
Most recently in theaters:
Indiana Jones - Crystal Skull: I was really afraid that they might ruin it, but I was pleasently surprised and really LOVED IT!
Ironman-It had really amazing special effects, but I didn't think it was all it was cracked up to be personally

Wuthering Heights-tried several times, but I always end up throwing it down in annoyance
Twilight-I liked New Moon well enough, and I did manage to make it more than half way through the novel; but I just can't bring myself to finish it. I'm not a big romance fan, and it was just so corny...
Fire-Us trilogy. Those books are simply amazing, and Jennifer Armstrong is such a talented writer! They are honestly so addicting I've read them all at least 6 times! ^_^. Prolly shouldn't have started them in 3rd grade however....lol
personally I wouldn't "not" reccomend any books to children; judging from expeirience it just makes them more inclined to read them. To see "whats sooo forbbiden" about them. ^_^
