I lose all track of time when reading and I don't have much of a sense of time to begin with. I have no kids and am not likely to have any anytime soon. I watch little TV. So my free time is mostly reading, and being online (more reading really) and sleeping (I love to sleep and my dreams help...
I would've lost interest. I have no clue if the first guy I dated read but he just was....too far below me in knowledge and not willing (or maybe able) to catch up...and I got bored. Fast.
I'm a woman by the way and I care a lot about intellect. Intellect and kindness are the first two...
I have in the past but eh...I just read so much and keeping track is not in my nature. I can look at a book and know if I've read it anyway. That's the only reason I'd keep a list I think, if I forgot what I had read before.
I find it's interesting to reread childhood/adolescence favorites now. I agree about perceptions changing. You get more life experience, understand new things, and so coming back is so different. I'm going to try to read some books I HATED having to read for school and see what happens now...
It was like that where I grew up but where I live now most everybody reads. I see people passing the time on the bus that way all the time.
I LOVED Matilda. Still do. I've reread it in the past year. :D
I do. I can hear though, if it's yelling. Often I'm brought back from book world by things like 'Lady, this is the bus station, you have to get off here.'
Hi I am alliterati and I am also a printaholic.
My addiction started before I knew how to read and got 'worse' when I learned. I go the library whenever I get the chance. I have more books than shelving. I've eschewed other things to read. I do it everywhere..in the bath, on the bus...I don't...
While it doesn't shock me, it does flabbergast me. My initial reaction was four books in a YEAR? I read four books in a MONTH. Easily. I can understand actually not having time but honestly most people do. They just devote it to other things. Thankfully I live in a very reader heavy area but I...
I've written hosts of poems and short stories and have a few novel starts hanging around on my hard drive. I'm also currently writing my autobiography.
I've only been published once and that was a poem in a HS magazine but mostly it's because I haven't put myself out there.
I think I'm a...
I find if something is taking a while for me to read for whatever reason I feel the need to jump into something else. Also I like to read fiction and non-fiction at the same time for different flavors.
I do that too. I don't drive so I either walk or take the city buses most of the time. Walking and reading is dangerous (especially when you're as uncoordinated as I am) but reading on the bus is great. I've been known to get through halves of books in my commute when I'm taking classes (45-50...
It happens. I've gotten something like that.:p Annoyingly easy going and annoyingly positive. Along the lines of 'why aren't you getting upset!'. Well because there's no purpose to it. I'm right along with the poster except I don't usually get upset over missing a bus. Then again I usually have...
