I am a sucker for stories where the protagonist triumphs over some type of adversity. It leaves me feeling hopeful and inspired. And if I can't have that... then if it talks about art, poetry, history, or Brad Pitt then I'm game. :p
I believe this! (Here in the US too) I ordered a framed print from allposters.com. It was 16X16 in its completed size. When it arrived it was in a box 48X42! I was shocked to see the empty and unnecessary space. So, I checked the packing label -- which said the shipping was by volume, not...
I just got...
Michelangelo and the Pope's Ceiling -- Ross King
Dark Eagles -- Curtis Peebles
Nine Stories -- J.D. Salingers
The Gnostic Gospels -- Elaine Pagels
and The One Minute Manager Meets the Monkey -- Kenneth Blanchard ..for work...gotta love it...
It's a good one isn't it, Wabbit? I keep a plaque-type thing of it on my desk at work...probably my favorite, if I HAD to pick just one poem:

A pirate's life isn't easy; it takes a tough person. That's okay with you, though, since you are that person. Two things complete your pirate persona: style and swagger. Maybe a little too much swagger sometimes -- but who really cares? Arr!

I am reading Kursk Down by Clyde Burleson -- an accounting of the events that lead to the tragic sub accident. Has anyone else here read this or A Time to Die? I am curious if it is worth reading as well.
I also just started Founding Brothers: The Revolutionary Generation by Joseph Ellis.
You are not alone Dream Chaser. Hans Christian Andersen, Agatha Christie, W.B. Yeats were all dyslexics. I think of it as a creative tool for writing as my dyslexia makes me think in unusual ways.
Wherever I go she follows... I tried running, but she's a quick one. :D ;)
Title of a book you'll never seen written by Lauralee, "How to beat your addiction to compulsive book buying and java drinking."
Seriously, Glad to see you came, this is a great place for a person afflicted...
