Hmm, reminds me a little of something someone said about The Bell Jar, in that it would be a misogynistic novel, had each sex not been portrayed in exactly the same demeaning way...
It's a vague moral dilemma whether or not women deserve a shot at being a little sexist...as you say...
While I know this is a rather old thread, I do love Paradise Lost...and thought there have been several interesting points raised. So revive I shall! :). And hope you're not all bored of this.
How do people feel about how time works in Paradise Lost? To me it appears as if the poem is written...
