This is my Nathaniel:
I've had him since I was about twelve, thirteen years old. I found him as a stray in my neighbourhood, rescued the poor creature, and begged my mother to let me keep him instead of sending him to meet his doom at the Humane Society. He'd been an emaciated, angry...
Hot damn, I hate that question. I can never decide, and my decision always changes. For now, I shall say The Thorn Birds because it's one of the hardest books I read. Everyone kept dying left and right, and it made me so hopelessly sad. It was, however, for a book report, so I had to finish...
I liked Peeves' song. Somehow it made me feel all nostalgic (I'm sentimental; can't help it!) and giggly at the same time.
And I agree about the idea of Neville whacking Bellatrix; Molly could have had her little "protective mother" scene with some other death eater, and Neville could have...
Urk. I didn't go to a party, but I did end up waiting in a line at midnight for about half an hour, after all. My mother sent me off with the money to buy the book in an extremely sweet act of generosity. It wasn't so bad, either; the wait could have been a lot longer, but I couldn't find the...
Yay! Just that little ray of hope (it having been praised) makes me think that maybe it shan't be quite so fanfiction-esque. Hurrah! ::avoids the link, though::
I doubt that many babies would be saved by it, really. Like was said, mothers like that are probably not in the best mental state. Besides, there have been places better than "the dumpster down the street" to toss one's baby for ages. Whether you're religious or not, leaving a baby in a...
I curl up in bed with two pillows and a blanket, plus some food and drink. One pillow is normal length, the other is full length, and they help a lot since I have a bad back. And the blanket's just so darn snuggly. ^_^
I'm probably too shy to go; big groups of people always creep me out. Besides, I only want the book, and I'm willing to wait awhile to get it after the rush. As long as I don't read reviews, it won't be spoiled. I am sort of interested in what everyone does though, and I'm mildly tempted just...
The first time I came across it, I just skipped the whole second half entirely, then read the next book when it came out. I really, really wish I hadn't done that, though, because when I eventually reread it, reading the first half again was annoying, but the second half was wonderful...
I avoid intros just on general principal. They never give any information that you can't read afterward, and they have a tendancy to spoil things, so why read 'em? I've never had anything spoiled for me, personally, though.
Colt, darling, you offend my brain.
Hmm. I realize that a lot of the thing that are running through my head have been mentioned time and time again, but...still. ^_^
As a minority, while I understand that you obviously don't want to be singled out and stared at with all those little...
In my senior year of high school, I go to take two wonderful literature classes. One was World Literature, and the other was Literary Themes. A lot of seniors and super-seniors took Lit Themes because they needed a passing grade in English in order to earn that English credit they'd failed...
I read the Chrestomanci series when I was a little girl. My sister's name is Guenevere, so I spent the entire length of Charmed Life hoping things would end okay for Gwendolyn, who seemed like a pretty spiff girl, all in all. Just a bit ambitious. The rest of the books in that series were...
