1st book that I really enjoyed as a kid was: Where the red fern grows by Wilson Rawls. I re-read it about two years ago. Still good as the first time I read it.
The gasoline prices will go up. Heaven know to where.
There will be higher taxes on the gasolines to subsidize public transportation system.
There will be higher taxes on non-hybrids to subsidize public transportation system.
There will be more trains and buses.
There will be more...
Recently, I started having my kids memorize song lyrics.
So far, my kids and I have memorized 1st verses of few songs: O holy night, Star Spangled Banner, 76 Trombones.

My wife loves it!
But I still like the Little Drummer Boy - Since the days of my boyhood.
I got about 3 pages long of a list. Then, I also have a 2nd wish list or a 'sub-list' named "library" to seek out the books to check out because they don't look worth buying, but to check out.
The wish list works out pretty well for me. For I wait til I have some spare change then, I get...
Well, if you put it that way... I mean yes, what Breading1 had said is correct. But, that should not stop us from reading this genre. If you so believe in those steps of the stories, then I think I can say this: You're born, you live, some of us get married and have children then you die...
Although I still buy, mostly second hand, I have enough for re-reading.
But, I don't have enough in comparison to my library system. I request books from different branches of the county library if it is not found in my local library. I don't mind the wait.
