Stephen King's Hearts in Atlantis - collection of 5 stories, majority of them were of young people going thru life experiences, and no horror. The book has 640 pages, so each stories are pretty fair and not too short.
My favorite genre: Juvenile fiction. Quick reads, nothing too complicated. Since it lies on top of the tank, never forgotten to take it in. Sometimes taken out before falling asleep at night. I currently have Midnight Magic by Avi on the tank. :)
How about Ursula LeGuin's Wizard of the Earthsea.
It is a juvenile fiction and it's a fantasy, bit known though. But it does have some kind of moral.... need to face your own fears or something like that, and it's a man against himself thing. And the length is not too long. Written by a...
I love reading Juvenile Fictions. I currently have Midnight Magic by Avi in my room, and read few chapters a day - books by Avi, written for juveniles are quick read, very clean, enjoyable.

Stargirl: Fun and easy read - I enjoyed it.
Maniac Magee: Very good book to overcome racial differences.
Wringer: Still reading it...,
Library Card: My kid certainly enjoyed it - I haven't read it.
Loser: Now this book was very interesting. I discussed this book with my kid, with the...
Hi all.
Can anyone recommend a book with humor for children.
I have a 10 year old kid who loves to read books, and she recently read Carl Hiassen's "Hoot". I know "Flush" is also written by Hiassen and is also funny.
Can anyon recommend other "funny" books for a kid?
Thank you...
