    Bible poll: fiction or nonfiction?

ummm.... i think it makes a whole lot of difference what you believe to be true... i still see no historical basis for the jesus myth... i cannot see it as a 'fact' at all... like i said previously, dates and authors for the gospels is a debate all on it's own...

    Bible poll: fiction or nonfiction?

have you ever heard of the Epic of Creation? also known as The Enuma Elish, an ancient Sumerian sacred text.. seems whoever wrote the bible, or at least parts of it, has taken much of that work, edited to take out a few references to most of the multiple gods the Sumerians believed in, and...

    Are they milking us?

good question. i think some authors would be far better off thinking of their readers and staying with shorter series, or at least definite endings every three or six books in case a reader has had enough and doesn't want to read 25 more of the same stuff to have a story line end. it's...

    Games, a waste of time?

no.. i don't think games are a waste of time.. it's just another form of entertainment to me, along with reading books and watching movies.. for younger children, games can be a source of educational material, and also serve to further their logic and problem solving skills, and hand/eye...

    Elizabeth Kostova: The Historian

i don't think it's necessary to have read Dracula first.. this book stands alone. i enjoyed reading this book. it kept me turning pages to find out what happens next, and that's one of the things a book has to do for me. i am glad i don't bother with reviews or hype or anything like...
