    Robert Heinlein

I just watched movie, Starship Troopers. Can't decide if it's good, bad or so bad it's good.

    Schindler's List!

Terrifying movie. To me it's creepier than any horror movie. Cruelty of men kind is more than disturbing.

    Star Wars: The Force awakens

What's your favorite Star Wars movie? My order goes a bit like this: 1. The Empire Strikes Back. 2. Return of the Jedi. 3. Revenge of the Sith. 4. A new Hope. 5. Attack of the clones. 6. The phantom menace.

The Power of Now - Eckhart Tolle

I'm not really big on self-help-new-age books. I like spirituality and philosophy, I just don't find "modern think positively" literature that worthy. But still, I heard good things about Tolle. Can you give us a bit more of insight?

    Ernest Hemingway

Uf, I don't really like The Old Man and The Sea, I find it very boring. What did you like about it?

George R.R. Martin: A Game of Thrones

Yeah, but describing food on the table, sigils... to the smallest detail, argh! Reader has it's own image in his thoughts, even if you describe everything to nano details. It's just not necessary. Books are still great though :).

    On The Road

Yeah, too bad Neil didn't write, I think he would make an awesome writer, but probably he was to hectic to actually sit and write. Plus writing demands gazing into your demons and I feel Neil was afraid of that. Like you said, he had issues. Yeah, I find the beat generation a whole lot "cooler"...

George R.R. Martin: A Game of Thrones

I really "dig" the books. It's just that sometimes I'm annoyed with all the descriptions and all. Martin really goes into the details and I find that annoying. Still, it's not a dull read or anything like that, it's just like I said, sometimes annoying. My favourite books was the last one, Dance...

    Robert Heinlein

I've got Starship Troopers as a gift, when I was 12. I loved it, much much better than the movie. Haven't read the rest of his stuff, maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea... I was looking something to read anyway :). Any recommendations?

    Recently Finished

Raymond Carver, three books of his short stories. I searched for an author that's similar to Bukowski and someone suggested Carver. He writing style is fairly bold, but still, I was expecting more.

*$20 Amazon Card CONTEST* - What inspired your love of reading?

The greatest story of all is life. And the best method to tap into that magic is by reading and at the same time, learning. There's no other feeling that can be compared to reading a good book. For me, reading and writing is like breathing. It's just something I have to do, if I don't, I feel...

    J.D. Salinger

I love Catcher in the Rye. One of my favorite books about growing up and if the language it used was controversial (it's not) back in the day, I'm glad I didn't live in that conservative society.

    Ernest Hemingway

He sure was a character. He had a strong personality. I don't like all his work, but his writing style is awesome, just as I like it. A farewell to arms is my favorite Hemingway book.

    Walt Whitman

My favourite would be "Oh captain, my captain!" I just love it.

    On The Road

What did you think about Big Sur? It's more "loyal" to the book. And what's up with Neil, was he really that an awesome guy? Kerouac is always describing him like a semi-god.

    True Detective

The first season was really something out of this world. Too bad I can't erase my memory and watch it again :D. Yeah, Vince Vaugh, yikes! But hey, maybe he'll surprise us. I really don't like the cast, but I guess they know what they're doing.

    Star Wars: The Force awakens

What do you guys think about new Star Wars movie trailer? Personally, I can't wait for it, being a Star Wars nerd and all. I just hope it will not be some pop corn generic action flick with lightsabers :O.

    On The Road

Indeed. Books is really good, although I can point out way. There si also Big Sur movie, have you watched it? More "artsy" than "On The Road".

    True Detective

One of the best series ever, right next to Sopranos, The wire, Rome... I fell in love immediately and was looking forward every week for a new episode. Trully a masterpiece. Looking forward to season 2, they'll have to work really hard to top the first one.

    On The Road

It was okay, I guess... I really have mixed feelings about it, I feel in the movie everything is just tangled up together and the whole thing is kinda a hit and miss... I'm not saying it's bad, because it's not. It's just the book is much much better.
