It greatly depends on my mood - and my inner temperature, which strangely has nothing to do with the surrounding temperature.
Sometimes I sleep nude, and sometimes in a pair of long satin pants plus a tank top.
Never ever ever socks. I'd die if I had to wear socks at night.
Hehe, what can I say? I like dark and brooding. Though it's probably not healthy in the long run :p
And while in the HP-books Lucius Malfoy isn't really fleshed out enough for me to get a clear picture I definitely loved him in the shape of Jason Isaacs - but that's moving beyond the book so...
Why thank you :D
Hehe join the club - though I don't know any of those you mention, I do have a weakness for the bad guys. Not sure why. Perhaps because I'm an evil bitch myself...
Snape from Harry Potter comes to mind as a 'crush' of mine :p
I always walk barefoot - though because I always have cold feet I do have to don socks of a kind in winter - if not the coldness of my feet gets too bad, to the point of numbness - which isn't good.
I don't walk around naked - that's just not comfy for me. Though normal attire when I'm at...
My mother-tongue is Danish - so naturally I read in that language - but only when the book is originally in Danish or if I don't understand the original language of the book (my Kikuyu is rusty to say the least hehe)
I am somewhat in doubt as to what is my second language - German or English...
Generally any author who feels the need to continuous point out that a person's eyes are emerald green, amber gold, sea blue or some similar comparison. whatever happened to having grey, or hazel eyes? why does it have to be something that can be compared to something else?
Everytime I run...
My avatar I found on anotehr forum somewhere on the web. Immediately found that it 'was me'.
Later when I posted a profile pic of myself on another site where I use the very same avatar someone commented that I look like my avatar... which I don't - if you ask me that is. But apparently more...
I'm afraid I don't know that book you speak of - so I can't really help you there.
I will recommend the songs from the Elder Edda though - fantastic stuff from the far away past of the North. I bought a volume with them not too long ago and have enjoyed them greatly - if nothing else for the...
I just bought Tad Williams' Memory, Sorrow and Thorn series on eBay. Am looking forward to receiving them. 4 huge books :D It's technically a trilogy but the last book was so long they had to split it up on two 800+ pp volumes. Something tell me the dear Williams may not be good at being concise...
There were swings in the playground at my school. And steel monkey bars. And the slide from one of those 'towers' was apparently 'dangerous' - quite a few children have sprained hands and/or fingers - something I never did there, but did at excess when playing volleyball in gym-class. BAN...
oliphaunts
They did the ents very much as I imagined them - after all it wouldn't really work with the forest image if the ents stuck out above the tree tops - so I was quite happy. Only thing I did miss a bit was their big swaying movements - I missed The Last March of the Ents, where they...
Psh, my closest friend don't even live in my town. The nearest is about an hour away with train - and people wonder why I have no social life :P
As for books - you sound like one of those who have more than half a brain to read with. I'd recommend Umberto Eco's Foucault's Pendulum. It's...
R.A. Salvatore's Drizzt books come to mind.
"600 lbs of panther"(about Guen)
"violet orbs"(about Drizzt's eyes
"deadly dance"(about Drizzt's swordplay)
There are many more because Salvatore generally does not boast a very impressive language, but I can't be arsed to find more right now.
Sounds like a book I might want to read.... though after having read The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul by Douglas Adams, I doubt it'd be quite up to par - nevermind it's a different genre - I've got my ideas of the old gods in present times quite set :P
Hmmm I'll have to shave anyway - waxing of intimate areas is generally not recommended methinks. *winces at the thought*
And I actually shave everyday. It's not much trouble and doing it so often keeps away the sandpaper feel. It's no trouble for me anymore.
'Tis very true - just like I can enjoy Michael Jackson's earlier music but at the same time think he's become a joke.
I will say though: As the dear Terry so clearly states: anyone who doesn't think his books are Da Mastaworks is obviously an imbecile. This will in effect mean that if a proof...
