It was a queer, sultry summer, the summer they electrocuted the Rosenbergs, and I didn't know what I was doing in New York.
THe Bell Jar - Sylvia Plath
Rarely post.
I spend a lot of time on other forums (sport, social) but return here to check out a title I have my eye on, read some reviews from posters etc. I like this forum but I never really got to 'know' anyone here as I have on other forums. Still, I remember my username and password...
I read just before I go to sleep at night; for an hour or two, maybe more depending on the book. I don't watch television so that time is spent reading. I also have a few breaks from work during the day and read during those too. It still doesn't let me read as many books as some people on here...
Deception Point by Dan Brown
Robbie Fowler: My Autobiography
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
The Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
Atomised by Michel Houellebecq
Yesterday in a charity shop, I came across the box set collection of Paulo Coelho. I had to have it. 6 euro it cost me.:)
Then I also got Vanishing Act by Piccoult, Birdsong by Faulkner and Deception Point by Brown for a fiver.
I finished the book yesterday and what can I say? After getting off to a dodgy start (it was a bit slow for my liking) the book raced through me. About halfway into the book I started thinking
I can't figure that out.
