Enya, Jude left me shocked, I don't think I read anything else for at least a week afterwards. All of his novels have a strong undercurrent of fatalism, but in Jude the feeling was in almost every page.

I've read quite a few of his novels and some of his poetry. I agree Pink shadow, that his imagery is amazing and the language beautiful. Depressing though.
