Yep, I'd agree that traditionally it should be stories that were published during his lifetime - which include Meditation, The Judgement, The Country Doctor, and A Hunger Artist. January's BOTM is going to be very entertaining, I'm looking forward to it.
Thanks Lucia, I think it just may get added to my amazon list.
SFG75, Dispatches from the Edge - Anderson Cooper, ok so I know who Cooper is, but is the book a memoir or a social commentary type thing? And is it any good?
Lady C, hope you all get better soon. What did the neurologist say? You know my good wishes are always with you. Dump away!
Yes I fell off the wagon. I'm back to my stalking ways, am gonna have to go back to therapy.
Lady C, Good to see you :) .
No there have been no secret skype meet ups. I just stalked tundra for a bit is all :D

He's not? But I always thought he was, ok so maybe he was a bit big boned but still. That means he is one of a kind, all alone..no one to monkey around with..oh that is so sad...
Wolf,
I'm sorry but I have no comment on your 'novel'. I didn't read the excerpt - well I have not finished...
Good review Shade.
I did find it funny in places; Borat's mannerisms are humourous in a quirky sort of way. The entire cinema hall was cracking up with laughter from start to end and I just relaxed and went with the atmosphere.
Overall though it doesn't live up to the reviews, and the style...
Of those two, I think I enjoyed Kafka on the Shore more. Most people say you should never start with Kafka on the Shore. But, I don't think any Murakami book lets you ease slowly into his style, so you may as well jump in with both feet and see if he appeals to you.
I started 8 books but completed only Palace Walk by Naguib Mahfouz.
Abc, I'd love to hear more about Widdershins - Charles DeLint
Lucia, would you recommend this? The subject matter appeals to me, but how readable is it?
HermioneWeasley, Sputnik Sweetheart is by Japanese writer Haruki...
I find that with my memory and the number of books I have, it's easier to have an organised system.
I have 2 bookcases for the unread/newly bought books, but they're not organised in any particular way.
The rest of the books are divided into ficiton/non fiction. I do place them...
