Thank you for pointing that out! I have had students use forums to get answers for their homework. I even had one who wasn't a member of a forum use the posts of the forum to complete an assignment (she did a poor job, obviously, since it did not comply with the directions). It's frustrating...
That burns me out quickly, as well...the creativity it takes to plan well will zap mental energy in no time. Even I have had times after major lesson planning when I just want to sit and relax.
7th grade science teacher (Life Science here in VA - it's a lot of fun)...used to be a US Patent Examiner...that was nooooo fun!
Who is your favorite superhero of all time? Why?
It has happened to me...but not for a few years. With working on my master's degree and now teaching for the first year, I've not had time to read as much as I'd like to. Therefore, I don't tend to binge on reading as I have in the past. Thus, I revel in the few extended times I get to read...
Out of Thin Air by Peter Ward
Deep Secret by Diana Wynne Jones
Once Upon a Curse by E.D. Baker
Conrad's Fate by Diana Wynne Jones
The Princesses of Baramere by Gail Carson Levine
A Long Way From Chicago by Richard Peck
The Treasures of Weatherby...forget the author
yes, there is an abundance of...
"Even as a little girl, I had thought that the swamp was a magical place where new lives began and old ones ended, where enemies and heroes weren't always what one expected, and where anything could happen, event o a clumsy princess." -The Frog Princess by E.D. Baker
Read this in high school...goodness, about 14 years ago (my freshman year). I really enjoyed the book and also realized how important books are. It's been a good long time since I read it, I think I will have to reread it soon, as I no longer remember all the finer details.
