Andy McNabb's books might suit, although I find them a bit too much detail and not enough story. However the "hero" has a real hard time of it. He tends to scrap by, and does not always succeed.
Traitors kiss by Gerald Seymour.
190 pages read so far and really enjoying it. Seymour is back to his best with this. Russian spy for the brits needs extraction. Recently retired MI6 guy returns to get him out. Good stuff
My to buy list is in eBay, although it is very short as I have a few lined up to read and I am an impulse buyer.
On my eBay page I have some favourite searches for authors that I am on the look out for. It's great I just recieve a email when someone lists a book and I can then check it out...
I've not been rained on while camping for years. But then I've not been camping for years. Plus I live in Perth WA :D
Not trying to gloat.
Errr, yeah I am.
Sorry to hear it washed out your hols thou' I remember such times well  Soaking wet in the Lake District, N Wales and...
Agreed. As it will keep the same order. plus moving them to the end of the list does not make sense. What if you are the penultimate poster for that round, you'll just have to wait for one post.
Having read the first book and 2000AD. This actually came to mind as I finished the novel (or rather novellet as it is only 160 odd pages)
Robo Hunter reminds me of the SSR, smart talking dude that comes out on top., set in a futuristic world run by big brother type corporations and governments.
4 days seems a little short. There might be a post monday, which means you only have the working week to post.
I reckon the limit should be set to 7 days. At this point you miss your turn and have to wait till it comes around again.
Also I feel people should be able to decline a turn; of...
Currently 3/4 of the way through The SSR. Easy reading, a bit obvious, but entertaining, which is all I need really. I reckon this would make quite a good screen play for a movie.
I'll probably wait for the DVD which will be out in , oh I guess 6 months. Just don't have the time to go to the flicks at the mo'. It has to be better than The League of not so Extraordinary Old Fellas and one Token Girl.
