he does have delusions of grandeur insinuating that his is a "great work" that is inciting controversy and will stand the test of time! ha!
he doesn't even know how to spell. (people)
This weekend, so far, I have seen X-Men 3, Big Daddy, Curious George (too many times to count with an overly enthusiastic two-year-old), and will probably see V for Vendetta and Elizabethtown tomorrow, which we rented, but haven't seen yet. We rented a bunch this weekend because of my surgery...
how sweet of you to ask!
it was painful. it is done in stages, so i had the first of three. i am having the second one tomorrow. since it is a staged procedure, i don't really know just how well it has worked yet. we'll see.
let me know when you get another together! looking forward...
still altogether just too sad.
and you are so right. most tragic events are filled with the same daily event of just going about your regular business and wham! so sad.
:(
The Sign Is Off! The Sign Is Off! The Sign Is Off!
The sign is off on the jkrowling site (if you know what i mean and how to get there). Anyways, I've been trying to figure out what to do and have been able to turn things on, flip things over, open books, etc., but haven't made much progress...
they aren't quaker, they are amish. that is what really got me - reading a headline that a milkman lost it at an amish school and killed at least 4 children. how sad. i can't imagine what those gentle, sweet people could do to provoke someone to that kind of rage. they are so meek and humble.
resting after yet another back surgery that i'll be having tomorrow.
enjoy your cigar-fest and enjoy the break!
sounds like everyone so far will have a relaxing weekend. even though i'll be recovering, at least i'll be in bed all weekend reading sans kids (they'll be with my mom)...
yes, i also hated the scouring of the shire part and would have hated to see that on screen. well, hate is a harsh word. i hated tom bombadil, but i struggled reading through the scouring part, because it was like coming to this awesome climax into just blah, kwim?
i agree wholeheartedly on each and every point you make. i think seeing the development of all of the relationships is important. i want to see the storyteller unfold into the rider he was, too, which it looks like they have included. i know they cast jeod, so i assume that scene is there...
well, sometimes self-publishing can work for you in that you can start small and maybe get noticed by a larger agency. i have edited books for some authors and will try to get some names that they used for you.
also, just because a publisher doesn't choose to publish doesn't mean it was a...
i was worried about that, too. that was why the trailer was so delayed (was supposed to be unveiled in august). they wanted saphira to be perfect. i think they spent something like a third of their budget just on her creation (and it is one reason why the urgals aren't quite what i thought...
i totally agree. they did a terrific job of getting rid of parts i didn't like and really making it flow well. i could see and understand why they rearranged things or omitted things for theatrical purposes. some things just would never translate well into a film and still be as captivating...
Eragon Movie Trailer
http://www.eragonmovie.com/
wasn't sure whether to put this in film, here, or under the author discussion. i know some will be interested in it, so thought i would post it.
this is a better site for it (larger screen)...
