Hi, downthrough. I also suffer from depression and I agree with you about accepting those feelings because ignoring them just makes them worse. Reading a depressing book can be very cathardic. Tess of the D'Urbervilles is very sad, if you like the classics.

The Junkfood Companion was funny. I read a few years ago and it made me laugh. My boyfriend found it around the house and read it and he was laughing out loud.

Strangers With Candy was cancelled after three seasons. However, most of the original cast got back together to make a Strangers With Candy movie. It was independent and just released this year. That's all I know but you can go here for more information.
