My friend Oriana just gave me a gorgeous oriental wall hanging. It's really cool.
BTW, Vesp, I let her on the forum today when I saw her, and she said she was impressed by how mature some of your posts sounded and couldn't believe your age. I keep saying we need to get the two of you...
I suppose not. I'm planning on buying an Esperanto-English dictionary, so I'll tell you if I ever find out.
But there's a difference between him and her in English and we don't have feminine and masculine words, either, except for those that deal specifically with gender. And pronouns, of...
I like it. It's very different from your usual poems. They're usually more "this is happening to me" but you start off with an image and metaphors and continue with them. Good job. I shall award you with a kitty smiley.
=^-^=
I just had my friend read this today while I was over at her house. She loved it, and read it out loud on the phone to another friend. First, of course, I had to show her some of the old manuscriptx threads. Since I wasn't signed on and it was her computer, I could still see them.
Still absolutely appalled at the weak plot in Dragon Rider over here. At the moment, I'm quite unwilling to give her another chance. Stroud, Rowling, Colfer, and Paolini were so much better that making a book intended for an audience younger than I am is no excuse.
I'd like to retract my previous comments about "giving people a second chance" because I just checked back at the thread in question and realized eyes0nme is a plagiarist. I'm shocked that anyone could sink that low and am all for it now. This has escalated even further than I had previously...
Did you read Sandman, by chance? If you did, what did you think of it? I'm not done with the series yet, so no (intense) spoilers for the last couple books.
Smila, please don't leave over this. It really isn't worth it. There are plenty of intelligent people on this forum--and I think the mods are a bit careful for the reasons they ban someone and things haven't escalated to that point with this. There have been cases where people were banned, I...
French toast. I love how it smells when it's cooking, the melted butter and all. And it's the most satisfying thing to put in your mouth.
J.R.R. Tolkien or C.S. Lewis?
Nene Thomas. Her fairy artwork is just so amazing...I'd give anything to paint like that.
What bothers you more, scary movies that are scary because they're gory, or scary movies that are scary because they're creepy?

Fahrenheit 451. It opened my eyes to how wonderful literature is, how easily it could disappear, and overall was just a damn good book.
Um...let's see...who's the last person you want to see turn up at your front door? (Losing creativity, I am.)
I think Wizard of Oz was a good book and a bad movie. I like the Emerald City, and I liked Somewhere Over the Rainbow--that's it.
As for Moulin Rouge...no. Just no. Its musical numbers were recycled, and the plot was garbage. The sets were pretty, but that was the only good thing about...
I suppose that's a very valid point. Is that true, BTW, about the awards? Personally, I don't really pay attention to the what sex the author of a book is when I'm buying it. Unless you're reading a sex scene, you can't really tell the difference anyway.
