Well, yes maybe it wasn't of LOTR standard but it was an ok book. The romance was sufficiently hidden to make it readable and there were some interesting ideas hidden in the backround that may be deserving of a moment of thought. For example how she had setup the goverments in the two countries...
I think what many people are trying to say is that just because science does not have the technology/theory/whatever to prove or disprove telepathy, at this point in time, does not mean that it does not exist.
Well I thought that how Snyder set up the country was interesting in the fact that there was a place for everyone and that no-one was left jobless. Ok yes the commander was a bit of a tyrant but...

Something that scientists (and most people) tend to forget when they announce that the latest discovery is the final say on a subject, people (and the scientists of the time to) used to believe that the earth was flat and would have said, if asked, that it was an absolute truth and the final say...
I wish to comment on the comment about our feet being slimmer because we walk less. I think the shape of our feet has a lot more to do with modern shoes than the amount that we walk. Until a hundred years or so ago most people went barefoot or wore saddles that didn't have anything in the way or...

Well I have to at my two favorite series are the Falco and the Detective Chen series. Falco is light hearted and fun while Chen has as many twists and turns as I could wish for :)
I like smileys as they can express emotions that can be difficult to express online.
Does the Authors ideas and views effect you enjoyment of there books or is the Author and the book separate?
