I see. I kind of recognised the lizard thing on the left. Not a fan of those types of games though (read: I can't do them very well). Thanks for clearing that up.

yip, curl up with a 'comfort' book which you have read before and you know will cheer you up, or perhaps a 'comfort' author.
Chocolate and beer are good too. Although you can't really beat complaining to a good friend over the phone.
Failing all of that go to the mirror and pull lion...
It's the Nations favourite, and I would have trouble believing that the Nation likes Harry Potter. If it had age groups it would be more representative, but this seems like it will be a vote on the Nation, with 43% of the Nation being Children.
They should add the question into the next...
Hee, didn't realise you're in London too. I live northeast and work southwest so you'll have to be keen on commuting if you want to stalk me.
I'll get the hobnobs in.

hmm - I've only just noticed this thread.
I use my second name with a 'z' on the end. and most people just call me murphy, others use Michael or Mike, as that is my first name. I am in no way paranoid about people on the net, many know my name is Michael Murphy and that I live in London...

I would suggest reading it, because there are very few books I would not ask people to read - especially as we all take something different away from it. When I came to the Alchemist I was expecting something more, something that would be profound and soul changing as many people before me had...
I still need to read Battle Royale, although will be buying the DVD when I get some Waterstones vouchers through the post. Sounds like Lord of the Flies on acid.

Hi Nial, welcome to the forum.
We can never have enough literature/book sites, and I'm glad to see that your first rule is that no spamming is allowed.
Hope you'll be sticking around here in the future...what are you currently reading?

In the same vain as lord of the flies, how about Battle Royale by Koushun Takami.
Stick a group of kids together, hand them weapons, and tell them the last one left alive gets to go home.
