    That could work to...and they could make it a once of download so that you do get just one copy from it if they wanted to. There are options, they just need to think of them!

    Yes, they need a plan of action, and they need one that will work. Maybe what they should do is sell the books with some sort of cheap dongle like thing with the book that has the e-book copy on it. Maybe not a perfect plan but...:)

    To be honest I would be happy to leave said devices off and in a bag to have a safe take off/ landing. Because your options are simple, a safe landing/take off or a cell phone...is it really that hard a decision??

    This sounds like a good idea, there may be a few issues in practice, but a good idea basically. I love the feel of real books but I love being able to have a whole library on one device.

    That is so not the point. Books give you a reason to read, something to encourage people to read and just as important, makes reading fun and something that is good and not a chore. If you make being literate and reading something that is purely functional then you won't ever win against...

I think that it is a simple concept that is complicated, like how the governing system was described in one of the Chen books; with the power starting with the person that runs the house/block of flats and moving up to the person that runs...

    I don't know, maybe. I think you would need to find a book that was written without care that so that it can compared to one written with care and see...

    That go's with everything in life, work or just life is always better when you injoy what you are doing.

    You can tell that all of the great Authors did in fact care about what they were writing. It makes all the difference to the feel of the book I think.
