tundra, that is the million dollar question, no idea what the difference is or even if there is, but in my experience there is a difference in price. Perhaps it's just that flats are always spread across one floor whereas apartments can sometimes have split levels?
Vesper : :p
Lady...
Thank you Vesper, I'm waiting for the chocolate box (I like anything with nuts).
Tundra,
It would depend on which part of London, the more central you are/more closer to the river the expensiver (is that a word?) it will be. Plus if something is being advertised as an apartment rather than...
Peronel, thank you for the reply, I may just take another look at some abstract paintings and see if I can view them in a different light.
Aqua, the paintings in your links look more like photos don't they? Whilst I didn't find them all that appealing I can certainly appreciate the...

Appolonia,
That I can...
I hadn't really considered reading Unconsoled yet, An Artist of the Floating World was next on my list.
A Pale View from the Hills - It wasn't so much that I had difficulties in reading it, (in fact I loved every sentence) it was just that it made a huge impact on me. I kept thinking about...
But of course, I thought it was obligatory (the Martin Amis thread is a favourite lurking spot).
I'm a member at way too many forums, but I'm currently making the effort to cut down, so I only post here, the Fallout Shelter and the Hellhole. Most of the forums I've cut down from are...
