C.J. Box's collected works would be better...
I see very little parallel to the culture of the U.S. in Atlas Shrugged. The book is a "feel good" story for those who imagine that the world...
Box writes wonderfully of his protagonist, Pickett, and the development of the story line and Pickett's family are first rate...

What to do about them?
It's an older book, but quite a bit like Hunger Games, in many ways. Try Robert Heinleins "Tunnel in the Sky".

Stephen Lawhead's "Albion Trilogy" is quite good.
His 5 book "Pendragon Cycle" maybe even better.
As a stand alone novel, I like his "Avalon".
Cool... He's been published now for almost 30 years....
I do not care for Lee Child's books. I feel that they are poorly researched, lazily developed, and inelegantly written.
And I write these things...

His work is well written, and will stand your criticism.
