I still prefer a tablet to a dedicated ereader. The extra costs are far outweighed by the total utility and usefulness of a tablet vs. a dedicated reader like the Kindle. The Kindle Fire (I think that's what it's called) looks to be aiming to change this though!
The greatest appeal to me for eReading is the sheer number of books you can carry at once and have it weigh nothing. There is no way I'd ever be able to carry the number and variety of books I like to have on hand with traditional books. It would require too many bags and consist of more weight...
Can't say it enough, I love digital reading and think a tablet is far more versatile and useful as a reading device than a dedicated piece of hardware like a Kindle. Kindle's do a great job for what they are, and the eInk display is definitely a bit nicer for long term reading, but I've been...

I use a list app on my phone to keep track of all kinds of things. One of those lists just happens to be "Books to Read" :) It's easy and it's always with me. I don't know how I ever survived before smartphones. I must have lost track of hundreds of books I wanted to read before this wonderful...
There was a time when I found this question difficult to answer, but after going on three decades of consistently impressing me with his work and after have read and re-read just about everything he's ever written multiple times, I have to say Stephen R. Donaldson is my all-time favorite author...
New here and thought I'd share a really wonderful new book I read recently. It's called Devils and Dreamers and it's the first book of "The Pukking Grand Novels", a series of novels set in the fictional town of Pukking, Mississippi. The book is full of suspense, action and thrills. It's scary...
