I recieved the last in the Sword of Truth series for Christmas. As bad as the series has grown over the last 1/2 dozen or so books I kept up with it. I did not read the last one so I just began reading Wizards First Rule and am going to go through the whole series once back to back to back to...
I have read them all. I enjoy them for what they are. Currently I am reading the Lake House. Never expected a sequel to When the Wind Blows but here it is.

I think Tolkien was a better writer. I really enjoyed the first four or five "Wheel" books but feel as though all he is doing for the last few years is dragging it out. I am beginning to feel as though he doesn't know how to end it or want it to end.
King says that the inspirations behind it, are The Lord of the Rings and The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.
Basically, it is a quest story. If you are a King fan, he is building his whole universe into the story. From The Stand to The Eyes of the Dragon. They are all apart of it...
