    What books have you hated?

    I hated The Catcher in the Rye. Maybe there's something wrong with me. Also, I couldn't stand Siddhartha by Hesse. Oh...and Insomnia by Stephen King.

    the ruins

    I enjoyed it. I thought it was a little predictable but overall a fun read. I did like "A Simple Plan" better though.

    What do you think of the Kindle?

    I'd be willing to buy a reader if it was reasonably priced and it didn't use a proprietary format. For $400 just for the hardware I could buy 40 paperbacks. Then they want an additional $10 for each book you download. It just doesn't make sense to me.

    do you keep track of the books you read?

    I keep track of my books with software from collectorz.com. It cost me a little bit of money but the software works well. I might have been just as happy with the LibraryThing website but it's too late now.

    How possessive are you about your books?

    Unless it's a very nice copy of the book, I don't really worry too much about what happens to it. Paperbacks I'll give to someone if they'd like to read it. So far, friends and family have taken care of books I loan them and in the case of the few exceptions where something happened to the...

    Your Most Memorable Sci-Fi Book(s)

    The first book that got me interested in the Sci-Fi genre was A Wrinkle In Time when I was a kid. Other than that, the most memorable Sci-Fi book for me was probably Enders Game.

    Hello I'm currently living in Lubbock, Texas but I grew up in California and Utah. Looks like a great site. I'm hoping to find some ideas about authors and books that I'll really enjoy. :)
