    Final Solution That's why Chabon chose that title. It's also a play on Doyle's story "The Final Problem" in which Doyle 'kills' Holmes.

    Help with Cormac McCarthy I've tried reading McCarthy but I've always been stymied by the man's disdain for quotation marks. I get halfway through a line before I realize it's dialogue. Does it get easier as it goes along or should I invest in the audiobook?

    Oops Ell, by disturbing I meant psychological. There's not a lot of gore in either book. Velvetvanilla, you're right. It is Robt. Greysmith, I was typing from memory. Last time I do that.

    Scary Stuff Non-Fiction: Zodiac by Robert Goldsmith. Hands down the most disturbing thing I've read in a long time. Oddly enough, Goldsmith's follow-up, Zodiac Unmasked, not as scary. Fiction: The Shining by Stephen King. I never get creeped out by fiction, but this did it. Hope that helps.
