Can someone help me with something please. Which of the following is correct:
Ten year's service

I am erring towards ten year's service but I...
Partly inspired by a post I just read about being not being able to enter bookshops without buying half the stock, I was wondering where do you prefer to buy your books.
Do you like:
The convenience, value and selection from on-liners such as Amazon?
Or
Poking around in musky second hand...
Having come back from the bookshop recently, very pleased with one of my new purchases (Bram Stoker's Dracula - always wanted to read it), I was horrifed to discover by chance at the weekend (looking for another book) that I already owned it......
Whilst I could blame this on my age and...
I've always used IE but on holiday last week I had access to a PC with Netscape on it - and I actually quite liked it. I was also told it has less security holes than IE.
Since getting home have installed Netscape and am now using it as my default browser.
Which do you prefer and why...
I am going to buy a digital camera but have no clue where to start. I have been told I should buy one with no less then 3 million pixels but since looking around the choice is so huge.
Does anyone have any advice or know of any good sites or magazines which have reviews etc?
Other info...
I'm under the impression (rightly or wrongly) that there aren't many horror fans on this site. But surely someone must have read some of James Herbert's stuff?
He is one of my personal favourites - I find him far more 'scary' than Stephen King.
Have read most of his stuff more than once and...
Partly inspired by the excellent poems which have been appearing on these boards, I have put together the thing below. I would not deem to call it poetry as have no clue as to write poetry but is probably more of a bunch of thoughts put down on paper. I quite enjoyed writing it though. Please...
Anyone catch this on Saturday night?
I am scandalised that the Vicar of Dibley came third - beating Fawlty Towers and Dad's Army to name but two.
Fawlty Towers at number four - what was that about? Who was voting?
No surprise that Only Fools and Horses came first - it was my second...
What do you do for a crust?
Having opted out of the rat race for the last six months, I have reentered the world of work rejuvenated and in my previous profession.
I work in Human Resources (Personnel) and am usually found either hiring or firing people (sad but true). I quite enjoy my job...
Was just wondering what novels, plays, poetry was on your school syllabus.
We had to read a tonne of books for english lit. and french lit. A-level and we had to analyse them in so much detail I was sick of them by the end of it. A great way to ruin a perfectly good book. lol.
These are...
Edgar Allen Poe is one of my favourite writers - this is a great site with all his work on it - lots of reading there. :)

I have written quite a lot, but never anything as big as a novel. I have been thinking about writing one for some time now but am worried about unwittingly chosing a topic, storyline which has already been done but that I may not know about.
Does that sound odd? Does anyone else worry about this?
Hi all
Just thought I'd pop in and say hello, registered today.
I'll read any type of book as long as it is good in its field - horror, comedy, modern, classics, high brow, low brow, fiction, non-fiction, you get the picture...
Am currently reading Moving Pictures by Terry Pratchett...
