Teen/Children's Fantasy is such a guilty pleasure for me (who is not a teen). So I have a few recommendations. The Alchemyst (The secrets of the immortal Nicholas Flamel) by Michael Scott(He also has a 2nd book out in this series, but I haven't read it yet, I am sure it will be good though)...

I have read all three of the Leven Thumps books and found them to be very enjoyable and greatly imaginative. My favorite thing about this series is that the fantasy is not based on any of the usual fantasy groups like fairies, goblins, elves, etc. Very original.

My favorite Baldacci is The Winner. I did enjoy The Collectors also.
