Yes I agree if you collect these books it's totally a must have, I have several copies of the Silmarillion but the most beautiful illustrations in the Ted Nasmith version make a must even though I've obviously read it already.

Actually From a Buick 8 isalso listed in the Dark Tower VII as having a connection to the Gunslinger series and since the author considers there to be a connection perhaps you missed the link. So what if the list is the same as from the Wikipedia it just means the Wikipedia in this case is accurate?

I thought that this book was OK, but not only was it in my opinion not as good as the other ME books, (it is a supposed to be tragic tale after all), there is not much in the book that is not in the Silmarillion. I mean I was hoping for some new stuff but even the end was basically the same as...

I consider it one story but technically it's six books I think even though it's presented in 3 volumes. I got a one volume version about 5 years ago and I read in the prologue that Tolkien wanted it published as one book.

Yeah that was pretty fascinating, I what I really found great about it is that it was just so weird and original. Like the alien invasion being extra-dimensional and not from outer-space. Also the aliens were very... well alien their way of thinking was so different from the human mind.

While you don't need to read any other SK books in order to enjoy the Dark Tower series (in fact I started to read SK all the time after I first read The Drawing of the Three). There however is a connection between the Dark Tower series and much of his writings. The Gunslinger -Bag of Bones...
