Well, I've finished the two books I listed a couple of weeks ago; as usual, Patterson was pretty predictable. Vanishing Acts was pretty good. I'm starting to like Picoult and her books. I'm reading Change of Heart, by Picoult right now, and it's great! I'm also reading Odd Hours, by Dean Koontz...
Hi- Send me some of your chapters, etc. I'd be glad to look at them. Good luck! I've been trying to get my children's book published for a couple of years. It's hard to get your foot in the door, but I hope persistence pays off!
For Small Towns
Check out The Painted House, by John Grisham. It doesn't follow his normal formula and is certainly a welcome stretch from him. Another good one is Wish You Well, by David Baldacci.:D
Hi- It's nice that you joined my Caddyshack club! What books are you reading now? I'm reading two: Vanishing Acts by Jodi Picoult and You've Been Warned by James Patterson. Both are fairly good, but I'm getting kind of tired of Patterson; they're all starting to sound the same, since I've read...
Has anyone else read The Shack, by William P. Young. I finished it a couple days ago; it completely caught me off guard of where it took the reader. I knew the main story line dealt with a tragedy in the father's life; but after that, it went in a much different direction than what I expected...
The Shack
Hi-
Have you by chance read The Shack, by William Young? If so, what'd you think of it? I was surprised at its direction. I had no idea where it was headed, but it had nothing to do with where I thought it was going.:whistling:
They are pretty good, but after the 3rd one, they all start to sound the same. A couple of my favorite Patterson books are Roses are Red and Violets are Blue. Give those a try.
Hi-
I've read pretty much all of Patterson's books. I've just posted my thoughts on the last one I've read, 6th Target on my website. I can't URL, yet. I have to create about 12 more posts to give out my site address. Anyway, 6th Target pretty much followed the same formula as the other five...
I joined the other day; figured I read a ton of books and I've put them together on a website. I have a blog on that site, as well. The link is:
