Wow, I feel like that would shake the entire literature world! I just read up on it a little bit, and I didn't know that that was the only book that Lee ever wrote. that is quite an accomplishment.
My all time favorite old flick is Lawrence of Arabia. To be honest, I can't watch it if I am too tired, because it is very long, and often times very slow, but that is what I love about it. The direction of the film really makes you feel like you are in a real desert setting. Not to mention...
In the Korean movie Tae Guk Gi (The Brotherhood of War), when the younger brother (now an old man) pulls out the shoes that his brother made for him to take to school.
This works, but you can only have so many iPods connected to one account. If you really want to get rid of DRM protection on songs though, just burn them to a cd, and when you upload them up to the computer again, they have no more DRM protection.
Great! I really appreciate the recommendations! I've never heard of any of them I don't think, so that means that I need to tune in better, cuz I must be missing out!
Well, I can't actually remember the first website that I opened, but I do remember the first website I created when I was bout 11. It was an Eiffel 65 tribute page . . . and it was completely awesome . . .
That's a shame, but I am glad that someone feels the same way that I do! I feel like so much emotion and meaning is lost when a film, or even a tv show, is dubbed!
My List:
Tae Guk Gi (The Brotherhood of War)
Everything is Illuminated
La Vita e Bella (Life is Beautiful)
Miracle
Mean Girls (you all know you like it!) ;)
My favorite movie of all time is Tae Guk Gi, a korean film set during the Korean War. It is 20 times better than saving private ryan, and extremely heartfelt. . . . oh, and please don't watch it dubbed . . . use the subtitles . . .
Korean film has been exploding, and this film is magnificent...
Actually, I hadn't even noticed the rating 'til you said something. I don't disagree with you, but looking back it was surprisingly tastefully done with all of the dark themes and shoot 'em ups! I'm surprised that they went for a pg-13 with a story like that. . .
Surely this is a lesson that they could have used for the new Indiana Jones movie? Or maybe they should have just rewritten the whole plot! Aliens? Indiana? Really?
Uncomparable
After Batman Begins came out, I was a little bit dissapointed because I felt that it had deviated a lot from the originals.
Now that I have seen The Dark Night, I am not so dissapointed, and I think that comparing the new movies to the old ones is really hard to do, because they...
I agree that ledger lived up to his reviews before his death indeed! I think he was amazing . . . I just think a lot of people who wouldn't have been interested in this film now are because of his death, thus the extra hype around the film . . . That's really all I meant . . .
I saw it!
I saw the Dark Knight . . . and I definitely thought it was good, but didn't think it was AS good as ALL of the hype. Believe me, it's worthy of hype, but there are talks of the Dark Knight surpassing the Godfather as the #1 movie on imdb. For me anyway, it was definitely not life...
