    Marvel: Stephen King's The Stand

This will be an awesome addition to my collection of pop-up books! I already have The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon in pop-up. :)

    Finding Used Books

I would check half.com. Search for a couple of them and when the search results come back, you will probably be able to see that a some of the sellers have thousands of books for sale. Either click on their link to go to their "store" or you might be able to contact them directly. Good luck.

Bad non-fiction that you've recently read

Yeah, me neither. I haven't read anything that I've really disliked in quite awhile now. Yay for me. :)

    Question Game

Lars and the Real Girl (I liked it a lot). Do you think your (real) name suits you?

    Laugh Out Loud Funny

Pretty much every book by David Sedaris. And, while I'm at it, I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence by Amy Sedaris. What I'd Say to the Martians: And Other Veiled Threats by Jack Handey might be the funniest book ever. Also check out all the Deep Thoughts books. I am currently...

    Stephen King: The Stand

I read The Stand about 8 years ago and it definitely did scare the crap outta me! I still remember it vividly.

    Augusten Burroughs

I loved RWS and Dry. Magical Thinking was not as good. And Possible Side Effects was even worse still, I am sad to say. I have not read A Wolf at the Table yet, but I am sure I will do so sometime soon. I love Augusten as a person and I will continue to read anything he writes (including his...

    Question Game

The one where I had a panic attack in the middle of NYC. It was the middle of August, it was 100 degrees out, I had had waaaay too much caffiene. Yeah, that one. :P Facebook or MySpace?

    Juno

I love the soundtrack. I bought it and listen to it all the time... At work because my girlfriend is on the "hate it" team, too. But anyone who doesn't think "Anyone Else But You" is the cutest song in the world is just dead inside. ;)

Im looking for a book for my brother-HELP

Yeah, you might be right. It's hard to know because the maturity level of 14-year olds can vary greatly. Hell, the maturity level of 30-year olds can vary greatly!

Im looking for a book for my brother-HELP

How about Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk? It's pretty violent (hopefully, not too violent... He might be right on the line of "too young" for this book) but you said he's into fighting...

Which Was the Last Book You Read in One Sitting?

Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic by Alison Bechdel. This was a couple years ago and I probably shouldn't even count it - as it was a graphic novel and therefore fairly short - but I just vividly remember finishing it and being like, "How did that happen?" I am a pretty slow reader so I tried to...

    Juno

I liked Juno. Ellen Page was great, and Micheal Cera as Paulie Bleeker was the cutest teenage boy ever. In history. :) The dialogue was very, very overdone. But that's Diablo Cody for ya. See Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper. Overwriting is her schtick. She's really...

    Tattoos and Piercings

A Q for tattoo experts. I got a tattoo on my right shoulder about 4 years ago. After a few days (after the initial swelling went down), I noticed that it was raised. After some internet searching, I decided to apply cocoa butter several times a day to see if that would help the skin heal. It...

Sloth. Without a doubt. Do you believe in astrology?

    Another noob here

Hi All. I'm Kristin, I'm 32, I live, work and do all kinds of other interesting things in NJ, USA. I read as much as I can, which isn't all that much, I hate to admit. I mostly lean toward modern fiction (Stephen King, Wally Lamb), short story collections, sociological nonfiction (Malcolm...
