I'm almost 12, but in general, my taste in books is a year or two ahead of that. I like fantasy a lot, but science fiction is good too, especially books that deal in time travel. Here are some examples of what I've enjoyed:

I don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I really liked the Midnighters Trilogy... Maybe a little younger than what you're looking for... Anyway, you might as well give it a try. In my opinion, it's really good!

I would like to back up WickedWitch's suggestion of the Xanth series, it has some "mature" content, if you know what I mean, but it's still good(if the first two books are anything to go by). The end of the second book is brain-bending, though.
