One of the most depressing books I know that I've ever read was My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Piccoult. Also Nineteen Minutes by the same author. Jodi Piccoult does depressing really well.
In February I'm hoping to read Dreamcatcher by Stephen King and Dune by Frank Herbert. I don't know if there will be time to read both what with school and everything. So I guess we'll see. And does anyone have any other suggestions as to what to read. I read just about anything but historic...
Another good book is Timeline by Michael Crichton. It mostly set in the middle ages and has plenty of history in it, as well as action, romance, science, and time-travel.
