The movie adaptation of 'The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Thing' was finished in 2004 (IMDb)
The release date that the site refers to might be the release of the DVD perhaps.
As an introduction I would recommend 'Tunnel in the Sky' that is one of his youth novels. It's referred to as a science fiction version of 'Lord of the Flies'.
His later adult books (and Starship Troopers) can differ greatly and doesn't necessarily appeal to everyone's taste.
Yes, some the...
I recommend:
After the Flood (Efter floden) by P.C. Jersild
In the Country of Last Things by Paul Auster
The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham
The Drowned World by J.G. Ballard

I believe the term hardcore is most often used to refer to a techno style rather than just "hard" music in general.
I like electronic music but I'm not very fond of techno or hardcore. I prefer to have less emphasis on beats.
Animal Farm isn't on the same level as 1984 but if comprehension is your only worry then you might as well try it.
It seems more likely that it's the sexual parts your mother doesn't want you to be exposed to however.
I think that you can go after the age limit that the libraries and...
My pile of DVDs is still relatively humble. I have about as many DVDs as I have VHS tapes. I don't find it appealing to start a large collection but I would certainly understand if someone have more movies than books since most people probably are more likely to rewatch favourite movies more...
I appreciated 'Die schwarzen Brüder' by Lisa Tetzner when I was younger. It's set in Milano and is about young boys that are sold by their families and have to work as chimney sweepers.
I'd also like to recommend 'The Solitaire Mystery' (Kabalmysteriet) by Jostein Gaarder. It's about a boy...
I thought that Peter Jackson's adaptation of the Lord of the Rings trilogy was awful. It has extremely literal interpretations of what's most likely metaphors. But perhaps Jackson just wanted more eye candy.
A few extreme examples.
Bilbo turning into a monster when trying to grab the ring...
Why do you think that MSN is the best? It doesn't allow messages to be sent to users that are offline and the file sending system is horrid as it doesn't get a window of its own and doesn't continue transmission from where they've been interrupted.
And it's stoopid to keep e-mail adresses as...
I was very fond of "My Teacher..." series. Despite that the fourth book was extremely sappy. The concept wasn't very original either but I agree that he could be very imaginative otherwise.
If I hadn't lost the third book I would have been rereading them to see if I still felt the same way...
I liked a more fascistoid logo of a tin drummer on a Scandinavian dvd edition of the movie adaptation more but this forum is supposedly to be mainly about books and I think I'm less likely to be sued with this.
'Ladyhawke' was okay from what I remember. Rutger Hauer never disappoints me even though the movies he stars in might.
One of my favourite movies is ‘Blue River’ that was produced for television so I haven’t encountered a lot of people that have seen it and I’ve sadly missed every opportunity...
My favourite westerns are 'For a Few Dollars More' (Per qualche dollaro in più) and 'A Fistful of Dollars' (Per un pugno di dollari). I liked it more than Yojimbo.
'Pale Rider' is one of the most beautiful westerns that I've seen with it's strong contrast that the natural lights creates but...

One of my favourite chapters is instructions for women.
A question for theologians. Is jesus' birthday christmas (24th/25th) or new year's eve?
Harry Potter book covers in different countries (not only the english empires) The first examples are the Swedish covers.
I haven't bought any Harry Potter books so far. If I ever were to purchase one I would be put into the dilemma of choosing between having books in the original language...
The only Harrison book that I've read was 'Make Room! Make Room!' and I thought that it was okay, though I prefer the movie 'Soylent Green' that was based on the setting from the book.
