    Where to start with Discworld?

Hello guys, I found a shelf with Discworld novels in my school library. I borrowed the part called ''Feet of Clay'' but I did not really like it. I felt it had not a good story. Basically, all I ask is where should I start with the series?

Which book has the scene when Batman fights Swamp Thing? But please no Spoilers. I still did not read the series yet.

    Alan Moore

I heard all kinds of good things about it. People say that it has one of the best runs in comics history. I also recommend Miracleman.

    Alan Moore

Yeah, I guess you can say that.

    The Walking Clock

This poem is based on the play I made for my class. Hope you like it: A clock had strike When a boy in a bike, Stepped into the shadows. He walked into the meadows, Of a concealed graveyard. And so he moved forward. When all of a sudden a lamp-post shone Showing a bone. But the boy...

    Alan Moore

I do agree that some books he mare mediocre and some are extraordinary. But nearly almost all his books are highly praised. Miracleman for example is a flawed book but is very good. No one is perfect.

Books set in the 18/19th century..

If you like comics, I suggest Alan Moore's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Mind you, that these comics are very literate and extremely enjoyable. You've got English Literature's fantastic Victorian era heroes such as The Invisible Man (he is awesome), Mina Murray from Dracula and Captain...

    Hey

Nah, I like dark and mature comics. I do not mind offensive language, but nudity and those things are stuff I skip. I will try to read children comics like Bone and Maus.

    Alan Moore

Alan Moore, perhaps comics' most highly praised writer. He is my favorite comic book writer that I have ever seen. He has a trick of turning character to popularity by a simple use of deconstruction. My favorites of his books are Watchmen and Miracleman. He brings depth and scope in many...

    The Itinerant

Guys, this is an idea of a story I want to write. Here is the plot: During the age of 2100 BC, there was a land called Relinquinia. Relinquinia is a sandy desert where a civilization called Iseuans lived in. Iseuans are a very developed tribe that built the most fantastic monuments. Iseuans are...

    Neil Gaiman: The Sandman

Sandman I got into Neil Gaiman's work when I was recommended by a friend to read his Sandman series. And so I bought the book, and I reached Vol 4 of the fantastic run. 'Season of Mists' is the most wonderful story arc that combines many mythological Gods and even Christian beliefs into it. I...

    Kid's "Horror"

I really suggest Coraline. It is not 100% horror, but is 50% fantasy and 50% horror. I am 14 years old, but I really love reading that book. Goosebumps didn't even give me the creeps, but I am surprised that Coraline could.

    Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman, the very only writer that could make me love the Fantasy genre. Wait a minute, couldn't I be swayed by over the top writers like JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis? Yes I could, but I didn't get swayed by them. I got into Neil Gaiman's work when I was recommended by a friend to read his...

    Hey

I am a 14 year old boy who loves to read. My main task everyday is to read and write; without that I am nothing. I love to read comic books (especially Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman), Fantasy and Sci-fi novels. I hope I enjoy my time here, and meet new friends.
