    Mental Illness

    I suffer from depression. I have been on medication for it in the past, but am not currently. I have learned ways to manage my depression without medication.

    Books where Aliens are friends with Humans

    Octavia Butler's Xenogenesis Trilogy might be something you'd like. I've only read the first book, Dawn, but I really liked it and plan on reading the other two.

    Looking for interesting book where the main character has a cool power/high Intelligence.

    All I can think of is the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer, but it might be a little more middle grade than YA.

    I recently purchased Peter & Max by Bill Willingham. It will probably be my next read, after I finish the library books I have checked out: The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, Wicked by Gregory Maguire, and The Little PAris Bookshop by Nina George.

    best book to movie adaptation

    These aren't current either, but I think the movie adaptations for Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile, and The Shawshank Redemption were pretty good.

    I think I read The Stranger in high school. That was a while ago, so a reread wouldn't be out of the question.

    I like the not knowing, too. I can handle some gore, though.

    Finally finished Bones Never Lie by Kathy Reichs. It was good entertainment, as all of the Bones novels are.

    I finished school and now have an even longer commute to work. Audio books make the drive seem much shorter than it really is.
