    May Discussion: Ian McEwan: Enduring Love

    Carry Me Down - J M Hyland When I read the Voting for the Book of the Month I thought the choice would be: Carry Me Down. I read it and absolutely devoured it. Shall now seek more Hyland so, even though it won't be used, I am really glad I was introduced to this writer.

    Enduring Love Have read this book twice, and seen a movie of it. Should like to read other's insight. The Cement Garden is still my favourite McEwen but then again I guess he was successfully sued for plagiarism on this one.

    The Life of Pi At last - the library came through with a reserved copy. (It's on the high school reading list so hard to obtain). Read this while cruising on the Caribbean. Surreal! The surfeit of marvellous food contrasted so well with the accounts of Pi's diet! Loved this book, of course...
