I'm with Abulafia :) I prefer a book above a comic book. A comic book has pictures of people who are like models. I don't like perfect characters :) And in books you can create your own mental picture of all described. Also, it has been for me personal sometimes hard to understand a expression...

I enjoyed back then "The Eyes of the Dragon" by Stephen King. It has 380 pages. I don't think it's top notch, but I enjoyed the fact that Stephen King could create something more subtle and medieval fantasy.

Anthon Horowitz wrote some fun children books. Though his recent hits about a boy of 14 who is a spy I never read. I am not into that kind of books.
There are more books about children doing magic and wizard and witch schools (Horowitz, Jill Murphy and so on), but I haven't read them all...
I'm with Lyra on this :D At first I was pretty sure that Snape was Slytherin stuff, but thanks to you guys, I am in a Snape-crisis ;) You sure have good arguements to proof that he could have been in Gryffindor.
