    Discussion: Clemens, James: Wit'ch Fire

Howdy, Hyperstorm! I haven't been around TBF too much lately due to a major lifestyle change (laid off/new job with crazy hours). I have Map of Bones on hold at the Library, though! I'll try to get registered on the Rollins/Clemens board ASAP to discuss...

    Beck

What's up, ds? I've been a stranger lately, I know! My wife is just about the biggest BECK fanatic in the universe. I liked GUERO the first couple hundred times I heard it, but c'mon already! The funny thing is that it's all my fault because I bought the Mellow Gold CD back when "Loser" was...

    Recommendation on new fantasy book.

Hey! I'd like to welcome the newcomers to the site. I haven't been very active lately. Allow me to recommend David B. Coe's Winds of the Forelands series which starts with Rules of Ascension. I just finished Book 4, Shapers of Darkness and I just love this series!

Steven Erikson: Malazan Book of the Fallen

Wow! I just finished Memories of Ice (892 pages long and I finished in 2 weeks). I'm just blown away, this book was incredible. Spineshank...I have been patiently waiting for the U.S. versions in hardback, although Memories of Ice was a humongous softcover (?).

George R. R. Martin: A Feast For Crows

I've got mixed feelings...I'm slightly disappointed, but that could be my own fault for getting too hyped up! But let's face it, Tyrion, Bran, Jon and Danaerys...these were main characters for 3 books and they just got blown off:confused: and after all that wait for the book to finally come out.

I liked the original Axis trilogy (except for the sappy ending), I read the 3 books in about 3 weeks. I read the 1st book in the next trilogy Sinner and am waiting to read Pilgrim next.

    Characteristics of an awesome library

These are all excellent! I was a member of a writer's club at the local library when I lived in Pennsylvania. There is no such animal in Delaware. I would like to add a couple of features of my local Library that I am extremely satisfied with: 1) new book requests (to be ordered) - they...
