    When the Lion Feeds - still one of my favourite books ever, classic story telling, gives you a feel for the country (South Africa). I've read it 4 times, it's one of the first books that got me into reading and i've never looked back since.

    I love reading at night, but i fall asleep too quickly. The book falling on the floor usually startles me awake again and i can usually read another chapter or two before it happens again and i give up. Afternoons in the garden is my best time.

    Reading with noise

    Most of the time i have to do my reading with lots going on, TV/music on, Kids rowing. I can block most things out especially if the book is good. If i'm struggling a bit with the book things distract me easier.

    Like you Tamsine i was recommended this book, although i finished it i also struggled, parts of it held my interest but the majority of the book didn't. I wouldn't say i hated it but it was a tough read.
